Thank you for this Fall Semester!

More info about Spring Semester coming soon!

In the meantime, please review any of the recordings below and reach out with questions!

Wednesday 11/8 - The Path of the Air; The Movement of the Breath
A Body mapping and practice that explores the circumscribed path of the air into and out of the body in relationship to the movement of the breath that may be sensed in different places for different people.

Wednesday 10/31 - Ya gotta have heart
This week did some body mapping of the heart/circulatory system and practiced a body scan through the lens of the circulatory system and then transitioned into a Loving Kindness Meditation.

Wednesday 10/25 - Wing it! - led by Elizabeth Castagna

Wednesday 10/18 - Hands Across America

This week we worked with the hands - practicing an exercise that I have been told is called “the cycle” and then practicing moving from focused attention to open awareness using the hands as a suggested anchor

Wednesday 10/11 - Arm Farm

Moving from the back of the neck to the shoulders - atop the three top ribs - the arms proceed toward the hands - the bones of the lower arm cross over each other as the hand rotates - the arms, even in stillness, respond the movement of the respiratory system.

Wednesday 10/4 - The Top Three Ribs

Sadly, the recording for this practice is unavailable, but the slides move through body mapping of the top three ribs. You are invited to notice how the top three ribs often intimately entrain with the collarbone, shoulder blade and muscles of the shoulders BUT there is space between the shoulder blades and the rib cage, there is space between the top three ribs.

Wednesday 9/20 - Use the Normal Force

Introducing physics to the equation, playing with the support being offered to us at all times through the lens of what Isaac Newton named the Normal Force

Wednesday 9/13 - and so we begin again

We began! and I was able to record! This week we talked through how the Central Nervous System needs conscious thought to “get back” into the body. We talked about how/why we pull up and practiced getting back in.

The practice begins around the 17:30 mark, the recording begins with an arrival practice and moves through an explanation of the slides.

Wednesday 9/6

10 minutes before we were to begin, I was evacuated from the office building due to smoke in the lobby. I posted up in Bryant Park and moved through the first practice of the season with the cunning use of my phone’s hotspot - unfortunately it was not recorded - luckily there was a reprise of similar material the following week.

Wednesday September 6 - Fall Semester Begins

The Fall Semester begins on Wednesday September 6. You can check back here daily to practice with the growing library of audio recordings we’ll add week by week. For now, the recording posted below is made of three 25-minute rounds of guided practice that you can move through at your leisure.
